Evie Stitchman-Hills is an English artist working and studying in North West London. She is currently studying a BA in Prop Making at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her work often explores sustainability in the industry, traditional sculptural practices, and historical influence in theatre.

Evie also works as a freelance prop maker and scenic artist. She is currently curating her work for an exhibition in May 2024.

About Me: About

Growing up with parents in the theatre industry, Evie has been surrounded by an assortment of props, costumes, and sets from a young age. Her father was particularly influential in her early exploration into woodworking and blacksmithing.

Evie's pursuit of prop-making particularly stems from her love of painting. During her final year of sixth form, her art tutor encouraged Evie to pursue a career in film and theatre. Along with her parents' influence, she began to explore more mediums used in the film industry. This exploration eventually expanded into resin work, mould making, and puppetry.

Evie is now in her third year of a Prop Making BA. She has worked on film sets, such as Jurassic World Dominion, and The Masked Singer, working in the prop and costume-making departments. Her most recent work has been focused on the replication of French carousel organs inspired by 1900s Rococo decor.

Evie's goal for the near future is to further her contacts in the film industry and develop her skills in 3D printing, costume making, and metalwork.
